(Apologies if this a second post as my original one didn't seem to make it)

I am having sporadic luck with getting MS Office Communicator to work, despite some extensive troubleshooting with a Help Desk team that's pretty tech savvy. I am able to communicate with people in my firm (who all use Windows) via MS Messenger, so I can see someone's "presence" and exchange IM's. However, when I use MS Office Communicator, most of the time I get an "Unknown presence" error next to the names of people I know are on the air. Furthermore, I've never been able to get the audio calling feature to work--the call immediately disconnects. Folks trying to call me go right to voice mail. I found another thread that suggested it might have to do with port 443 but the thread was built around Ethernet issues and I am using an Airport WiFi connection if that matters at all.
    Any thoughts?

I found this post via Google..

I work in a Windows organisation that uses communicator for phones/chat/booking meeting rooms etc.

I really want to bring my Mac in but the phone thing is a real problem.

Did you get the phones to work or get any further with it?
