Migrating Win7 to MBP takes forever

I am trying to transfer a ~100G Win7 system to a MacBook Pro over the network using Parallels Transporter. After 4 hours the VM is still only ~10G and Parallels predicts it needs another 66+ hours, up from a 15+ estimate 4 hours ago.

This can't be normal, right?

What can I do to speed up the transfer process?
 
It depends on the network speed you have. There is another option to migrate using external storage device AFAIK
