Missing Operating System error in Windows 7

I left Windows 7 running in the latest version of Parallels overnight and when I came in this morning it appeared to have rebooted (just Win7, not the computer) and was stuck right at the beginning with this message:

Trying to boot from Primary Master IDE Drive ...
Missing operating system_

I restarted Parallels thinking it was just some transient thing but that happens every time -- I'm stuck with no way to boot into Windows.

Any suggestions?

Hello Alakazam, I suppose the best solution now is try to repair your Windows installation, the process is described in the following article:

Note - this procedure would not affect your data anyhow - so there is no reason to worry about it.
