mouse detection on debian

hi, I'm using parallels desktop (3036 beta) to run debian. I followed s.o. installation process and I configured xorg to handle graphical mode and everythings was ok. When I restart parallels the X server didn't start saying that no core pointer is find... it search mouse on /dev/psaux.

I've a macbook pro (first series) and I use bluetooth mightymouse.

mdetect says that there isn't any mouse...

Anyone have this problem?

I've the same problem with Mandriva 2007 under build 1970. I've retried the install with different selections for the mouse and different mice with the same result. On the other hand I've installed Fedora Core 6 and Windows XP with no problems of any kind. So I don't know what's up.

I found a solution! Just use "modprobe mousedev" on boot sequence to force mouse detection ad voilà, X find mouse and start.

I tried "modprobe mousedev" under Mandriva 2007 and it didn't work, but once I changed the mouse "Protocol" in /etc/X11/xorg.conf from "mouse" to "psmouse" it started working just fine.
