Mouse Flickering in Virtual Machine

Hello,

I currently am running Windows 7 in a virtual machine, and whenever the blue loading circle appears, the cursor on the screen appears to flicker. Is this common? Has anyone else experienced this.

Yes, and that flicker has been there since at least version 4. It disappears if you unselect Smart Mouse - but then you won't have the benefits of seamless mouse switching between Windows and Mac.

BTW VMWare shows the same phenomenon.
 
So I'm having this exact same problem, but in all the Linux Distributions that I have:

Ubuntu
Fedora
Kubuntu.


I'm running Parallels on Mac OSX, Macbook Pro.

Also, I've found a corelation between using multitouch on my MacBook's touchpad and the mouse flickering then dissapearing.
