Mouse focus issues

As an experienced .net developer and very recent mac convert, I have to say that Parallels Desktop is heavensent.

I have a bug to report, and I hope that this is the proper place to do so.

My setup:

MBP 15.4"
1920x1200x24 (or 16 bits as well) on a second monitor
Mac OS 10.4.6
Guest OS: Windows XP Pro SP2 (Parallel tools installed)

When running in full screen mode mouse-overs doesn't cause the icons in the quick launch bar to highlight. Not really a big deal, but also menu items don't expand in IE or other window apps.

For example, in IE, click on the menu item "File," then move the mouse to "Edit." The menu should drop down, but it doesn't. Menu items in programs like Firefox work fine though.

This works fine if the screen resolution is lowered, or if the OS runs windowed.

No kidding.... It has been years since I have enjoyed a product so much. I almost wish we had a "happy" thread somewhere and virtually sing kum-ba-ya.

Typical for me, I get into a product like this rather slowly and just tonight installed the Parallel Tools, including the mouse driver. I appreciate this little critter more than I thought I would. In short, I can so seamlessly go back and forth, I find myself treating XP as just a mere "application". I just click on the window and do my thing. Like a word processor.

I was showing this very idea to a Windows friend of mine who is an IT specialist and he really complimented the whole thing. He literally said, "this is utterly cool". He asked me a question, though, and I don't know how to answer... and I don't mean to hijack this thread, so my apologies.

He sez that Windows Pro takes advantage of dual processors, incuding the dual-core, he thinks. With that said, he claims there should be an improvement on performance for certain functions, at least on a "real" PC. I am runnng Windows XP Home Edition.

I just wonder if what he is saying is worth checking out. Obviously, it is no big deal to give it a try, other than trying to find an installer for Pro. I mean, I just make a copy of my .hdd file and abuse the poor thing. Anyway, I'm kinda curious.
