Mouse freezes or not visible at all

My mouse freezes every time i open windows or it is not even visible. It works fine of the mac . I have force quit XP about 4 times in the last half hour (from the Mac side) and I'm getting nowhere. I urgently need to use certain apps. Just wish I'd bought a PC afterall.
The mouse had been working fine. I have tried 2 and the same thing happens At this rate I will corrupt all my data :mad:

1. Could you please give us more details about your hardware and software configuration?
2. Did you installed Parallels Tools in guest Windows?
 
I had the mouse problem described with an earlier version I found that upgrading OSX and then re-installing the tools fixed the problem
 
Andrew what exactly do you need to know other than what is in my signature ? Sorry I just don't know what to tell you so please be more specific. I have only installed 3 applications on my VM. Hoe do I know if tools is intalled ? My supplier installed Parallels & then I installed XP. It is working OK now but I am worried as it is just another hassle to deal with when it freezes again.
I got a message to upgrade & install V 2.5 3214 Build 3214 supposedly fixes USB compatibility problems with MAC 10.4.10. Would it fix my problems or just create more . If I am usisng version 3 , why would I get this message ? Doesn't 2.5 preceed 3.0 so how can reinstalling it help me ? Also I am concerned about installing Parallels tools again. I am NOT prepared to go back through all my printer problems again. I am too busy to have unnecessary problems so what should I do ?
