Mouse Pointer size issue after installing Windows 8.1 in Mid 2014 MacBook Pro

The mouse pointer size became too large in windows 8.1 after installation as a stand alone OS running inside Mavericks. The resolution of windows 8.1 was set to native resolution(2880 X 1800), but this made the mouse pointer appear too big in size. I checked all the magnification settings and mouse pointer settings. Everything is set to regular size in control panel. Did anyone face this problem? Is it because I am not running windows in Coherence mode? If possible, i would like to use the Mac mouse pointer in windows.

The mouse control size is controlled by Windows under screen resolution => Make text bigger or smaller. Moving the slider changes the mouse cursor as well and it can't be changed.

This isn't really a Parallels issue as my Yoga Pro 2 has the same issue. Microsoft has HORRIBLE support for high DPI applications and interface.

One way to fix it, is click choose settings for all my displays and change the DPI to something smaller. Then click apply, then go back into settings and move the bar to the right.
