Mouse/Trackpad Scrolling Left/Right Not Working in PD9

Could you give us more details please? How many VMs is running and what applications are affected? It would be great to have steps to reproduce the problem (1,2,3...).
Also, once you reproduce the issue, please post a problem report ID here: http://kb.parallels.com/en/9058

Hi there,

I'm also having this issue in Excel 2010. I'm running version 9.0.23136.932290

Is this a known issue, or does a problem need to be reported?

Thanks,

Matt

Hi,

I am having the same issue using Build 9.0.23350

Any help to get horizontal scrolling using Magic Mouse and Win 7 would be great.
Works fine in IE only - not in any other App - i.e. Excel etc...

Looking forward to resolution on this frustrating issue.

Joel.

I was unable to scroll horizontally using the trackpad in Excel 2010 on Windows 7 Professional guest OS.
Build 9.0.24229 (Revision 991745; Tuesday, April 1, 2014)

Horizontal scrolling worked in IE 11, but not in Windows Explorer or MS Office apps.

After taking the following steps with Support it was fixed:
1) Mac System Settings: enable 2 or 3 finger swipe in Mac trackpad
2) PD VM Configuration: Set: Do not Optimize for games in VM configuration for both keyboard and mouse.
3) PD VM Configuration:Enable smooth scrolling.

Combine all 3 specific settings and, voila!, it works. I have no idea why. (along the way we removed and reinstalled Parallels Tools a couple of times, repeatedly quit all open apps in the VM, and restarted the VM multiple times.)

The fix is only temporary though. You will periodically need to switch from 2 or 3 finger swipe to 3 finger swipe, then quit and relaunch Excel. Then the horizontal scrolling works again.

It's definitely an annoy software quality issue. The feature should just work without constant tinkering.

I hope this helps the next person who comes along.

I've got a problem with vertical scrolling when running MS Access 2013 under PD10. It just about works, albeit a bit jittery, on the objects sidebar, but refuses to work on datasheet tables, even though the horizontal scroll is fine. The Access version is 15.0.4420.1017
Grateful for any thoughts on this one please.

Mike

I have version Version 10.2.1 (29006) using Windows 10 and Excel 2013.
The sideways scrolling is still not resolved. Is anyone looking at the problem?

I get sideways scroll on some sheets not others in the same excel file. I can't see what the difference could be.
