movies on external harddrive

Hi,

I am contemplating to install Parallels on my macbook. But before I do I want to be sure of one thing. I just swapped my windows laptop for a macbook. I have all my movies on an external harddrive. When I plug that into my macbook I can't watch the movies because the file won't be recognised. If I use parallels would this be solved? Does it allow me to watch the movies without converting them all?

Hi Chrizz,

Yes, you can watch movies using Parallels Desktop once you install Windows OS in it.

Follow the steps as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/4729

Connect the External drive to Windows Virtual Machine directly by choosing Windows while connecting it.
