moving linux webserver to parallels...

i got my 24" imac recently and i would like to move my webserver (fedora) on VM.

i installed parallels (build 1970) and got error when startup on fedora 9.

I run Fedora on init 3. I regularly receive system message from console of below (number may vary). What is it?

Also, where I can find the known bugs/development list so I can decide to pay or not pay for this product?

I too got the "Cannot allocate resource region 0 of device 0000:00:03:0" error, after installing Ubuntu 6.10 over the newest version of Parallels Desktop.

Hey Louis, did you install directly off of the .iso image? I figured out the problem with mine, apparently Ubuntu crapped out because I didn't switch the CD/DVD-ROM emulation back to "Use CD/DVD-ROM". After I switched back, it works just fine.

I get the "Cannot allocate..." error every time I boot (using a minimal Linux called Crux) but it doesn't seem to stop things working. I've filed it under "worry about it if and when you're running a mission-critical server under Parallels (flap, oink)".

The second message sounds like the real time clock. VMs (vmware too, not just lls) have issues with the linux clock running amok. Try adding "clock=pit" to your kernel options.
