MSRDP ActiveX failed to initialize - Client v10.0.1155

Hi,

One of my users,

Server Version: V9 (1061)
Windows 7 + Windows Client v10.0.1155

It connects and displays the applications but when I try to open one it gives this error "MSRDP ActiveX failed to initialize error."

I have tried reinstalling / setting up etc...
Is there anything obvious I can try.

Its windows 7 so I can just reinstall the RDP client like pervious threads have mentioned.

I had this same problem with the same configuration. I finally solved it (read as "got lucky") by creating a new local user on the Win 7 machine. There was something wrong on with the local profile that I could not fix.
 
It works fine using the V9 client instead of the XG client.
Strange becasue the XG clients works fine on other machines.
 
Please provide the full error message since it contains an error code which can help to understand what is your issue.

Latest Client (v10.0 build 1162)
Exact error message: MsRdp ActiveX failed to initialize (hr = 0x80004005). Please check your connection settings.
