Multiple Mac Users \\ Hard Drive "Missing or in Use"

Hello. Currently I am running Windows XP SP2 fine on a Mac 10.5 Administrator account "apple" through Parallels 3.0. However, when I try to load this virtual machine on any other user, I get the following error:

I have researched this error message, and found this solution: http://kb.parallels.com/en/4680

I did this, but it is not practical in any way. This, in effect, clones the hard drive and I can edit my virtual machine settings on the other Mac accounts (in this case, "iMac") to use the cloned hard drive. It works fine.. of course, none of program or file changes made to the original "apple" account hard drive reflect it:

The secondary users such as "iMac" have full read and write permissions to all Parallels preferences and application related folders. I am properly shutting down the machine on the administrator "apple" account before attempting to open the same machine on the mentioned secondary Mac accounts. Any help is appreciated.
 
I resolved this issue by going to the .hdd file, go to package contents, and giving the other users the rights to the .xml and .hds file inside here. Hope this helps someone.

You Can share the same virtual machine with multiple users on my Macintosh

1. Launch the Parallels Desktop software.
2. Create the virtual machine (VM) and set everything up.
3. Close the Parallels Desktop software.
4. Move the VM files to a shared folder on the Macintosh hard drive. It is recommended to use the folder:
Hard drive Users Shared
5. In Finder Ctrl-click on the Shared folder.
6. Select the Get Info option from the pop-up menu.
7. On that window, expand the Ownership & Permissions group.
8. Expand the Details group.
9. Change the Others to Read & Write.
10. Repeat steps 5-9 for both the .HDD and .PVS files in the Shared folder.

When this is done, each user on the Macintosh should be able to open the VM by the Open option in the File menu of Parallels Desktop
