Multiple Users on an iMac

Can someone please explain to me, in non-technical language, how to use Parallels on multiple iMac user accounts. Right now, it only works on the user account I was logged into when I installed Parallels initially. Please don't send me to the page that says stuff like:

sudo -R chown root:wheel /Users/Shared/Parallels
sudo -R 777 /Users/Shared/Parallels

NOTE: obviously we WANT permissions set to 755, 775, 664 or 644 but for whatever reason, parallels ONLY works if permissions are set to 777. i hope the parallels team is taking notes.

I REALLY need something in non-technical language. Thank you.
 
I have an iMac and all users have access to it. I didn't have to get into Terminal, everything was done in the Finder.

First, I put the folder containing the VM in the Shared folder (sounds like you have done the same). Then I did a 'get info' on this folder, and I made sure group 'everyone' has 'read and write' privileges. Make sure you hit the button at the bottom "Apply to enclosed items...".
 
Ok, this works but what about the configuration file? known as the .pvs file? If you have multiple users login and use the same VM file no problem, but everytime a new user logs into the Mac you would have to "create" new settings. How can one use the original configuration files I aready setup and have it tweaked perfectly. Where would the .pvs file go to share for all users?
