My Documents Security Warning

I'm running Windows XP SP2 under Parallels 3.0 Build 5584. Whenever I open 'My Documents' from the Windows desktop, I get a warning dialog: "This page has an unspecified potential security risk. Would you like to continue?" My home folder is shared to the Mac. Everything else seems to be working fine.

Does anyone know the cause of this or how to fix it?

I suppose your issue is caused by Windows (and to be more precise, IE) security settings. There are plenty of mentions about this issue happening while working with IE, Internet-related programs, Network files.
I guess it's about files from untrusted or less-trusted (as they are considered to be by Windows) sources - presumably, if a file resides somewhere that is not local, it is less trustworthy.

Do you have IE7 installed? If yes, please, try to do the folowing:
1) Open "Internet Explorer 7"
2) Tools -> Security
3) Change Internet & Local Interact Zones To Default if the "Default Level" option is possible.
4) Go to Local Interact Section
5) Choose Sites
6) Uncheck "Automatically detect intranet network" but ensure that other tree fields are checked.
6) Click Ok
7) Click Ok Again
8) Close IE7
9) Try to open "My Documents" again. Will the message still appear?

If it doesn't help or you don't have IE7, please, write me back.

Didn't help. My 'My Documents' folder points to \\.psf\.home\Documents on my Mac drive. I can open this folder without the warning with just the UNC, but when it's the path from 'My Documents', I get the warning. I can work around this my making a shortcut to the target and it works without the warning. So I can live with it, but I still don't understand why it happens in the first place.

I still think that your issue is caused by Windows security settings, I'll try to test this assumption and suggest you another possible workaround by tomorrow. Thank you for your patience!
 
Not sure if this is still an issue for you, but I was experiencing the same problem as you've described, and searching google for a while, I came across this solution (which worked for me)...
