I upgraded from version 4 to version 5 a while back. However, my installation of Parallels is still using the version 4 serial number. I purchased the version 7 upgrade today and installed it, but it would not accept my old version 4 serial number--even though it appeared to install just fine over version 5, which was the current version running on my machine.
Because the installation program wiped out my old installation, I had to do a full system restore (from time machine). 7.5 hours later, I am back to using version 5 (with a version 4 serial number) and have paid for a version 7 upgrade which does not work.
Any suggestions? (I already contacted support--not sure if/when I'll hear back).
