My parallels won't go full-screen?

I have installed my parallels on OSX (Leopard) with windows xp installed. For some reason, when I click full screen, it stays at the same size resolution but just appears with a black screen surrounding it? What can I do about this?
I couldn't find anything in the appearance settings?

Hello Richard,

Please follow these instructions:

1) Go to start->control panel->add/remove programs.
2) Remove the Parallel Tools.
3) It will reboot after uninstall.
4) Again go to Virtual Machine->Install Parallel Tools.
5) This will install Parallel Tools and reboot..
6) It should work fine.
