We have spent the whole afternoon trying to configure Parallels to copy a file from the Mac to Windows . We have followed all the help files we could find, and have been unsuccessful.

Is it possible to copy a Mac file to a Windows NTFS disk using Parallels? If so, how? (from Finder or from Windows Explorer? What permissions need to be set and where are they set? Do you copy to the pfs disk? ). We have tried many iterations of all of the above and seem to be going in circles.

We are running Parallels 6 and Snow Leopard with 64 bit Windows 7.

One of the disks we want to write to is a External SATA disk.

The other disk is a USB and we can see it, but we cannot copy a Mac file to it.

Thank you for any help you can give.

Write parallels support. They were very helpful to us. Our situation was pretty unique (external ESATA disk) , but for most situations they will be able to help you.
