Nero will not recognize DVD writers

I see that the virtual device is a cd/dvd rom -- is there any way to write a cd/dvd from nero/xp running on parallels workstation ? Nero does not recognize the device as a writer.

In order to work virtual device is a cd/dvd rom in your Parallel you have connect external usb CD/DVD room. Internal CD/DVD will not work with parallel.
