I've had this problem for years across several versions of Parallels and Windows updates, and several MacOS versions on 2 separate Macs (when I upgraded):
If I run a constant ping or have a VPN/RDP connection to keep the network connection active, it never drops. The moment I stop using the network, this happens every time. I have to disable and enable the network from control panel -> network connections.
I have tried several things and reported this in the past but never found a solution. Why is this happening?
- when the VM is started the network connection is lost within 30s.
- Any time the network is not being in use, it drops within 30s
