    Hi,
I just switched from VMWare to Parallels, but for now I am less than convinced it was the right move.
Maybe you can help me around to try to get something usable:

1- converting VMWare machines even while keeping the same Ethernet Mac Address makes all of them require to re-activate Windows. When doing so, we are forced to switch to Microsoft Account (which I don't have and don't want) and to use fingerprints. No way to escape this. I use only Windows local accounts.
    Any way to avoid this?
I switched back to local account, but want to skip the Microsoft Account scam.

2- On VMWare converted machines, like a very lean Windows 11 clean install, nothing else, the start of the VM is horribly slow compared to VMWare.
Example: VMWare clean Windows 11 install: 12s, Parallels, 2min44 seconds on the same machine. Same for two Linux machines (1 Ubuntu, 1 Rocky8)

3- Display... In VMware there is a way to let the VM know that it keeps the same usable size on screen proportion when using an external regular monitor or when booting directly on the Retina high-DPI Macbook screen. When switching back from Retina to an external screen, the VM is ridiculously small, it's impossible to resize the window with the mouse, and it's absolutely out of the question for me to start tinkering with DPI scaling in the Windows VM each time I switch screens, this is not serious.
Is there a way to have Windows 11 windows shown at 1980x1200 no matter what the screen resolution?
In VMware Fusion, the option is "Resize the virtual machine and the window" along with "Use full resolution for Retina Display": the window always looks the same size, not extra small or extra large.

Frankly I'm a bit frustrated. I think this software is so unintuitive that it could be a German product (I can say that, I'm German myself).

If there is no way to have something work normally without needing to tinker with settings each time one switches from one screen to another one, I'll give up.
    Thanks for any light.

    Stefan
