Newer builds of Win 10

Question for the group. I have a newly installed VM from build 21286. It's fully licensed. I was unsuccessful transferring my license to a new build from the site (354.). Given that is it possible to update the 286 build? They seemed to have dropped BETA build for insiders. I can't even update any further from the 2004 builds. I remember there was a trick to fix this and continue updates.

Anyone with you advice?

I think the newest build you can download from Microsoft is 21354. The latest build for Windows 10 is 21390 and you need to follow the instructions in this thread: https://forum.parallels.com/threads/how-to-block-update-to-windows-11.353948/#post-888481

I can't transfer my license to 21354, I'm stuck on 286. It's it possible to follow that procedure to upgrade to 390?

I haven't tried it myself, but I think so.

It just blue screens on install. I think I'm permanently stuck on 21286. I can't upgrade to a new VM as the license won't seem to transfer or I don't know how to do it.

If you have a retail license, you should be able to transfer it. You might have to use the activation troubleshooter, though. Also, the key needs to be linked to your Microsoft account.

I managed it with this link:

and using troubleshooter for activation.
