I'm trying to encrypt my VM. I know it's a option however when I to go Security under Desktop Preferences i only get the option to require passwords on creating, adding, removing or cloning VM.

I'm on a MAC running Parallels Desktop for MAC 14, My VM is windows 10

    Thanks,

  2. Hi @BrianP10 did you shut down your VM? If not, please shut down and check.

I found out I was going into Parallels Desktop Preferences Security and not the VM security. Corrected that and I see the right menu...but the option to encrypt is greyed out? How do i know for sure My VM is shut down? I open it and shutdown windows 10 then It reverts to my mac screen. I assume it's shut down but could it be running in the background?

  4. @BrianP10, just go to start menu on Windows side and and choose shut down, as usual and then try to encrypt it.

  5. Also may be you have the lock in the left down corner? If yes, please click on it, unlock and check.
