No https connections with Desktop 8

After upgrading my Parallels Desktop from 7 to 8 on a MacBook Pro, I am no longer able to establish any https connections in either IE or Safari in "Shared Network" mode. All http connections are OK. If I change from "Shared Network" to "Bridged", all connections are OK. I have changed nothing else since the upgrade. I would prefer to use Shared Networking.

Solved. I found that somehow a "Little Snitch" rule had been set, blocking the Parallels https (only) connections. I deleted that rule and all is OK.
