No Microphone

Hi Guys,

I'm not very tech savvy so you'll have to bear with me.
I've noticed that I can't use Skype for Business on Parallels because the microphone isn't working (works perfectly on OSX). This is particularly annoying because it means I'm having to use my mobile for Skype calls. I can hear other users perfectly, I just can't speak.

I have also noticed I don't have any sound device settings in Skype for Business at all, they're non existent.

Unfortunately this didn't help. Thanks for the response though. I'm installing a whole bunch of Windows updates currently.
I'll see if that changes anything first.
 
Ok well after a plethora of Windows updates it appears to be working. Although there seems to be slight issues with the levels, and a fair bit of echo to boot.
I imagine I was missing some pretty vital drivers.
 
@Jack2, please try the steps below:
1. Open "Sound" by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type "sound", and then click Sound.
2. Click the Recording tab, click Microphone, and then click Properties.
3. On the Listen tab uncheck the option "Listen to this device".
4. Apply the settings and check if that helps.

OR


1. Open "Sound" by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type "sound", and then click Sound.
2. Click the Recording tab, click Microphone, and then click Properties.
3. Under Device usage select 'Don't use this device (disable)' option and apply the settings.
