Hi,
After upgrading to Parallels 7, my XP SP3 VM no longer has network access. If I type ipconfig at a command prompt, I get nothing - except another command prompt. The adapter - Parallels Ethernet Adapter #2 - is enabled and actually says connected in Network Devices.
I've reinstalled Parallels Tools and rebooted the MAC and restarted Parallels and then the VM.
I tried uninstalling the adapter, but Device Manager just hangs. I've also tried disabling it and reenabling it. I'm using shared networking and the adapter is configured to use DHCP. I had not had problems until starting the VM after the upgrade to Parallels 7.
I've submitted a problem report 11957345.
