Norton Security Patch Requires Paralells Control Stopped

A live update from Norton Security downloaded a patch that requires Parallels Desktop Control be stopped before applying the patch. Any suggestions on how I could apply the patch?

It is install on the MAC and up to date. Are you implying I do not need it installed in my virtual windows 10?

Hi @MartinB3 , please quit Parallels Desktop for Mac application and try applying the patch and check if that works.

When I quit Paralells the the app trying to apply the patch dies. It is coming from the windows side not the Mac side.

Found an answer. I used task manager to kill the one task and the patch got applied. Since I run coherence, I had to change suspend to power windows down before I could reconfigure for coherence and get my windows apps running again. Just a bit quirky.
