Number Key Pad Lock?

How do I get the key pad area on the Mac keyboard to be seen as a Windows key pad?
When I press the keys in the keypad area I get cursor movement not a number entered.
Version 5.0.9344 rev 558821. Mac 10.6.3 Windows Windows 2000
Thanks for your help.
 
Solution

I stumbled on a solution.
The clear key(Mac) is in the same location as the Num lock key (win).
Cleared the problem for me.
