I have an older VM with SATA boot disk. I added a second NVMe disk but cannot do anything with it in the client. All operations with disk manager / diskpart fail with error, "The media is write protected."
    Specs:
    Host - MacBook Pro 16" 2019 2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel i9 running Parallels 17.
    Guest - Windows 10 Enterprise Version 21H1
I checked inside the VM package contents to be sure the .hdd file isn't locked. What would be flagging the second disk read-only and how to unset it.

RandyB3, could you open disk manager then generate technical report, send it to Parallels and share its ID here.
    Thanks.

Thanks but never mind. After many hours yesterday and today I finally managed to convert the old SATA disk to NVMe. After I did that, the new NVMe disk wasn't write protected anymore. I have a lot of complaints about that conversion but that's another story.
