Office 2010 updates just hanging

Hello, I've just installed office 2010 and as you can imagine being 2010 there were a lot of updates. It has taken ages but now seems to be stuck on 140/146, it doesn't freeze, just won't go past 140, been stuck for about 3 hours now and I can't use Windows at the moment. I have a Mac Retina, Yosemite, Parallels 10 and Windows 7.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, even to actually stopping the updates, so I can get back to using Windows

Hello Mark,
Please follow the steps suggested below:
1. Go to VM config as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/117287 > Hardware > Network > Change network mode shared networking mode to Default adapter.
2. Restart Windows virtual Machine.
3. Run Windows updates before updating Office 2010 > Restart Windows Virtual Machine.
4. Once it is restarted please try to update Office 2010 and let us know how it works.
