I've got a folder (many subfolders) in my Mac's "Documents" folder shared with my VM. No problems for several months, but at some point in the last month my VM started struggling to open files from this shared folder -- I'll see a green status bar that reads "downloading [file name]" for maybe 3-10 seconds, then it disappears and another 3-10 seconds until the file opens on screen.
It's a drag to have to wait through this, but should I be concerned that this mysterious change presages something worse?
Also, Parallels load on cpu often spikes to between 40% and 100%. Cause for concern, or just that Parallels is a resource hog (understandably).
Have others found that 3Gb on a MBP really improves performance with parallels?
