On my Windows 8 VM I can do this from CMD: foobar2000 /command:"Play or Pause" How do I send this from macOS? There are various threads online for "how to open a program with arguments", perhaps the key one being this one, but they're all outdated by a couple of years. What's the way to do this in 2019? (foobar2000 is a program I have on my Parallels Application folder)
