Opening file explorer takes forever

Hello, starting about a week ago, any time I go to Start > File Explorer or I right click something to save as (for example a picture or something) it takes a very long time for the window to load with my folders and files. I was wondering if this was a common problem and how I could fix it.

Hello AlexanderR1, please start your Windows virtual machine and follow the step by step guide:
1. Hold Win+r to open run
2. Type msconfig and hit ok or enter
3. Click Services
4. Navigate to Windows search (you can sort the list in descending alphabetical order)
5. Uncheck tickbox
6. Click apply then ok
7. Select to restart now
