OS/2 as host

Is Serenity Virtual Station (SVISTA) based on Parallels virtual machine technology? Are there plans for an OS/2 host version of Parallels Workstation?

SVISTA hasn't released anything since 2004, so I wouldn't think that it's based on Parallels, or the technology that Parallels uses.

OS/2 has many supporters, and if the other one were to make the same request, I'm sure it would be given serious consideration.

for OS/2 and eComStation.

It will be very interesting to have a OS/2 and eComStation host of Parallels Workstation. Since the SVista future is unknown now, it will be great to have this alternative.

VPC for OS/2 is no longer supported and I'm missing things there.
Svista is even missing more things.
I'm hoping for an OS/2 version of Parallels

I too would greatly appreciate the chance of having an alternative to Svista for OS/2 and eCS.
So if Parallels is looking for a reason to extend their hosts to OS/2 they will find quite a few people willing to pay the same for an OS/2 Host that offers the same features that are in the Win, Linux or Mac hosts.
I look forward to seeing a positive response from parallels team to the OS/2 Host requests.

I too would certainly purchase a version of parallels that uses OS/2 as its host system. I currently use VPC but it is getting outdated (ie: no USB support).
 
I use SVista on permanent basis. Win 2000 being the guest. ITill now I didn't find any technical, economical and practical reason to have Win as host and OS/2 as guest even if SVista have many limitation. I will certainly purshace any software running OS/2 as host that will give better performance thas SVista.
 
I use on permanent basis SVista with WIN 200 as guest. Although SVista have many limitation I don't see any reason (technical, practical or economical) to have Win as host and OS/2 as guest. I would certainly purshase any software which will give better performance over SVista.

I'm really interested in getting an OS/2 based VM solution with USB support (missing in both VPC and SVISTA). Since I own both, a cross upgrade license will be welcome :-)

eCS-OS/2 as host

I also would like an version with eCS (OS/2) as a host. Virtual PC will no longer work, after the latest Microsoft updates to the Windows 2000 guest and of course SVista is not now being developed. Like many others, I want to run the occasional piece of Windows software, but I do NOT want the trouble of running a Windows host, just so that I can run the OS which I really want as a guest. In this case, the obvious course is to buy an eCS-host version and run the intermittent version of Windows.
