Outlook 2003 Preview Pane Extremely Slow...

Selecting an email in Outlook 2003 and waiting for the Preview Pane to show the correct email can sometimes take up to 20 seconds. And these aren't big complex HTML emails, these are small, simple text emails.

Sometimes I get so sick of waiting I double-click the email just to be able to read the stupid thing. The problem isn't consistent at all; sometimes previews will show up instantly. Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks for your reply. My VM has 384MB.

My MacBook only has 2GB of RAM; if I give the VM any more it starts to bog down my machine and I get a ton of Page Outs.

could you please check Parallels Desktop->Preferences->Memory tab? How much memory is set there?
