P.D.6 no internet connection

Hi,

i just installed parallels desktop 6 at a macbook pro 10.6.4. parallels works fine an i register it. problem is, i acan not update the "parallels tools" or searching for updates.

"parallels tools installation agent: unable to download the installation package"

my windowsxp can connect to the internet and my lokal safari also. why did P.D. not the same?

you can try to install Parallels Tools manually from the iso image:
1. Go to Devices->CD/DVD->Connect Image...
2. Choose /Library/Parallels/Tools/prl-tools-win.iso
3. Parallels Tools should be installed/upgraded automatically from this point
 
I DL the DMG file and get no CD-ROM. The tools are installed, but not updated. Down below i saw all the time (3 days) this (sry in german):

"die parallels tools sind nicht auf dem aktuellsten stand. warten sie bis das upgrade automatisch beendet wurde oder beenden sie es manuell"

tranlation: ..upgrade is still running, so tolls are not up to date...
 
You have some problems with automatic Tools upgrade. You need to upgrade Parallels Tools manually. To do the task, follow the steps in my previous post (they are also suitable for upgrade). You don't need any DMG files or an internet connection. You need the prl-tools-win.iso file only, wich is located in /Library/Parallels/Tools/prl-tools-win.iso. Connect the file to a Virtual Machine's CD-ROM drive. If the machine has no CD-ROM device, create it with the VM configuration dialog.
