Parallels 11 requires release of Ctrl before 2nd function?

In prior versions of Parallels, as long as you held the Ctrl key down, you could invoke multiple functions serially. So, I could press Ctrl-Shift-Up arrow to select an entire paragraph and then, keeping the Ctrl button down, press C to copy the paragraph.

In Parallels 11, if I highlight any text using the Ctrl button, I have to release the Ctrl button and then immediately depress it again with the C button to copy.

Is this something fixable in one of the settings?
 
If you have assigned shortcuts in Parallels Desktop preferences for the combinations you use then it's expected and correct behavior. Otherwise, optimizing keyboard for games shold make a trick
 
Nothing worked. I reinstalled Parallels Tools with no effect. The shortcuts in Parallels Desktop preferences are irrelevant. The shortcuts are working correctly, but unlike prior versions Parallels will not let you hold down Ctrl, Alt, or Shift and perform multiple different functions without first releasing the Ctrl, Alt, or Shift button. For example, I can't hold down Ctrl and Shift and select text, then release Shift but continue holding Ctrl down and then press C to copy the text. Parallels first requires me to release the Ctrl button and then depress the Ctrl button again. That is a change from the prior version of Parallels I was using.

ran a test - it works for me. try to open Parallels Desktop Preferences (not VM config) > click on Shortcuts > Restore Defaults. Then go to Shortcuts > OS X System Shortcuts > Send OS X system shortcuts: Always.
