Parallels 11 & Windows 7: Windows Update not working

    Reset Windows Update Components
    Step 1- Firstly, you have to download the 'fixit file' that has been released by Microsoft for Resetting Update Components.
    Step 2- Run this file.
    Step 3- You can then check on 'aggressive mode'.
    Step 4- Click on 'next' again.
    Step 5- Wait for few seconds & again check for updates.
    After completing these steps, try to check for a Windows Update again. In case the problem persists, proceed to this website

    Check Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) and the Windows Update service should be running.
    To do so follow the steps:
    1. Hit Windows + X key > click on Command Prompt (Admin)
    2. Next, in the Command Prompt,> type in net start BITS > press Enter.
    3. Then after completing the process type another line in CMD: "net start wuauserv" > hit Enter again.
    As the process is completed try updating the Windows again and check if the error is fixed or not.
