Parallels 12 Crashes windows and Mac requiring hard reboot

Running parallels 12 with windows 10 under Mac OS 10.14
i7 3.5ghz
16g ram

Split evenly between vm & Mac

When begins loading it becomes unresponsive until fully loaded around an hour later, then Mac OS becomes unresponsive and requires a hard reboot by pressing and holding power button

Very frustrating, can anyone help?

Hi, Parallels Desktop 12 is partly compatible with Mac OS 10.14.
It could be a reason of the reported behavior.
