Parallels 12 on Mid-2009 MacBook Pro

Is it possible to install and run the new Parallels 12 on a Mid-2009 MacBook Pro running 10.11.6 El Capitan, AND install a virtual instance of the new macOS Sierra in order to test it? According to Apple, the new macOS Sierra is not supported on the Mid-2009 model.
 
Hi Jerry, Parallels Desktop 12 for Mac is compatible with Mac Os El Capitan. Once it is installed , you can install Mac Os Sierra as virtual machine inside Parallels Desktop 12 for Mac.
