Parallels 12 quit.

This morning, went to run Windows 10 from Parallels 12 - the small black parallels window with the spinning wheel pops up for a minute or so and goes away. No error or anything. After numerous tries with that, I reinstalled V12 over itself - same action. Went to Mac backup from 1 Jan (it was good then) - same. Deleted V12 and installed V10, which I liked better anyway - same problem - small black box with spinning wheel for ~1 min then time out and quit. Mash the windows icon, it calls Parallels black start up box and does the same.
I have some rather important files I need to access on windows.
Any help greatly appreciated

Please follow the instructions from this article to start Parallels Desktop successfully.
 
Solved it with a complete older restore from MacBackup. Only lost a couple of minor things. Being that I never turn my machines off, the problem most likely was there prior to the 1 Jan try, but I already had Parallels & Winbloz up and running.
