I found this document of Parallels v6 online http://download.parallels.com/desktop/v6/docs/en/Parallels_Desktop_Users_Guide/31974.htm But I cannot find the corresponding network setting interface on v12. So what should I do? Please help.
Hi YangY, This article explains Parallels networks: http://kb.parallels.com/4948 to access network configuration and port forwarding: go to Preferences (under your parallels desktop menu)>Network to make changes to port forwarding rules click on the + sign under the Port forwarding rule a drop down menu of Make any necessary changes. kat
This does not match Parallels 12! I used to be able to forward ports in P11, but after the update it seems that capability is now only available by paying even more still to upgrade to the pro edition. <rant/>
Hi JohanS4, The original post you quoted is from 2016. I no longer have parallels 12, so I cannot test to see if this will work for you check answer 1 : https://superuser.com/questions/768535/port-forwarding-on-parallel-desktoputm_medium=organic&utm_source=google_rich_qa&utm_campaign=google_rich_qa The following information should help you if you have the addition that is referred to in the article (parallels 13 pro) http://download.parallels.com/desktop/v13/docs/en_US/Parallels Desktop User's Guide/33341.htm
This is also *not* parallels 12 - where did all the parallels 12 documentation go? forced retirement?
Hi, you can find Parallels Desktop 12 user's guide here But if you need additional info, please let us know.
Hi, thanks for the reply. Yep, I have this link - unfortunately it does not reflect what Parallels 12 is. For this issue specifically, this is what your guide has: ...and here is what Parallels 12 really has: as you can see, the "Network" icon has been removed. I used it in the past. It seems like at some time in the past, for whatever reason, parallels decided to remove the ability to configure port forwarding on Parallels 12. It is a shame, this is a paid product.
