Parallels 13 upgrade installation problem

I have just purchased the latest upgrade of Parallels Desktop for Mac. I have downloaded the installation file and when I run it I am asked to open the existing parallels desktop and shut down any virtual machines running in the background and then quit parallels desktop. I quite Windows 10 and then close Parallels. It does not continue with the installation, it just asks me to perform the same thing again. Advice?

 

Can you please reproduce the problem and post output of this command here?
