I'm using Parallels 14 and Mojave (final release) on a freshly installed machine. Everything seamed tp went smooth but on every launch I have to enter the admin / account password for installing PD14. Temporarily disabling SIP to allow any system modification does not help either. After I entered my password PD14 just starts normally showing up control center. I think it has something todo with Mojave's new security features. Granting full disk access in security setting does not help as well... does anyone face similar issues or can suggest a workaround / fix?

Hi, I have the same issue on a recently upgraded machine. Any insight would be appreciated.

Do you have multiples hard disks on your Mac?

    Hi alexander.buehler,
Do you have OS installed on one disk and have Users folder on another?

Right, two disks one for the OS and one for the home directories of the users

This issue is only started with updates after the version Parallels Desktop 13.2.0. It is escalated to development. You can move users folders to the same drive where you have the OS or downgrade to Parallels Desktop 13.2.0 to fix the issue for now.

Yes, I have a number of disks. The OS and programs are on the SSD disk, but because it is quite small, I have most of the files including user files and the Parallels virtual machines on another disk. The Acronis backups are on yet another disk.

Thanks for escalating the bug to development. Both suggested workarounds are not an option for me so I'll wait on a fix that hopefully will be included in a soon upcoming patch. If this is currently just an annoyance I'm ok with it. But I'm wondering if PD14 is working as intended / fully functional as it repeatedly states that it needs my password for installing parts of it. From what I experienced so far it seems ok to me. Can you confirm this?

Yes, apart from reinstallation every time there are no reports with the issues in the functionality.

Neither is really an option for me right now. I guess I'll bear with the problem for now. I didn't have the problem until I quit using version 13...I don't know if that adds any useful information. Thanks for your help.
