Parallels 15 from Apple retail store question

Hi there!

I see that there's a copy of Parallels 15 on the Apple retail store: https://www.apple.com/shop/product/HNNQ2ZM/A/parallels-desktop-15-for-mac

I'm confused as to why this says it's only a 1 year subscription. Shouldn't the $80 price point be the standard edition which doesn't expire after a year? I ask this because the store also has the $100 "pro" version, which is a subscription. I'd like to purchase the standard version through Apple's website since I have a bunch of gift cards saved up from my Barclays Apple card.

Parallels Desktop for Mac only subscription has been on sale in the Apple retail store for a year.
You can purchase the Standard Parallels Desktop 15version on any resellers website. (but without your discount unfortunately)
