Parallels 16.5 - Clipboard pastes incomplete content

Hi,

I'm not a Parallels user, so I'm asking this on behalf of someone who is.

It appears that whilst using the latest version of Parallels on an iMac running (I believe) Catalina with Windows 10 as the guest OS, attempting to copy and paste between the two results in some content that was copied not being pasted into the destination. Has anyone else experienced this, and what was done to rectify the issue?
 
Addendum; I understand that the latest version of Parallels Tools is also installed on this computer, with no effect on the performance of the clipboard
 
Further information: it appears that the content that goes missing is words immediately after tabs. It's a bit unclear as to why this should be an issue
