Parallels 3.0 will not load

After Launching Parallels 3.0 once successfully after necessary reinstall (HARD DRIVE KAPUT).
THE APPLICATION WILL NOT LAUNCH

is there an update for 3.0 software? The box I purchased assured me free updates.
I CANNOT FIND THEM ON YOUR WEBSITE

I am using MacBook 2.0GHZ Leopard 10.5.8 and 2 gig of ram.
