Parallels 3.0 will not run on my system

I am trying to install Parallels v. 3.0 on my macbook, and i'm running into problems. I put the disk in and installed it onto my system. The installation completed successfully, but when I go into the Parallels folder to run Parallels, i immediately get a message "The application Parallels Desktop quit unexpectedly. then I have the options "Ignore" "Report..." or "Relaunch" I do not know what to do here... can anyone help me please?

I am running OSX Leopard and I plan to use Windows XP with Parallels

Please download build 5626 following link bellow:
http://download.parallels.com/v3/en/GA/Parallels-Desktop-5626-Mac-en.dmg

and reinstall Parallels Desktop as described in kb
http://kb.parallels.com/en/4790

Please note I assume you are using US version

Similar Problem

I'm having a similar problem, although Parallels will run on the main username that installed the software, but it will not run on any other usernames (I get the aforementioned error message). Is this the same problem, also requiring a re-install? (Using Leopard & Parallels 3.0.)

This error means, that you did not perform all the actions required to make the machine shared between several users. Please, follow accurately the recommendations from the article:
