Parallels 6 tools can't find ethernet adapter

I have repeatedly tried to install Parallels Tools. It can't find the Parallels Ethernet Adapter and then backs out of the install and restarts XP. When it comes back up, windows now can't find my graphics adapter. Have an iMac intel core 2 duo with 3 GB ram. Worked fine before I upgraded to version 6. Have 6.0.11994

Coherence mode also won't work (grayed out).

Any suggestions?
