Parallels 7 won't open after installing Mavericks

After installing Mavericks and trying to open Parallels 7 I am advised to run Permissions Repair, which I did, as well as Disk Repair, If I still cannot open Parallels I am advised to reinstall it. How do I reinstall Parallels 7?

- Parallels Desktop 7 is not compatible with Mavericks (http://kb.parallels.com/117805)

- Since you are using Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac, you can purchase the upgrade version of Paralles Desktop 9 from

http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/ and install it on your Mac (http://kb.parallels.com/116989)

- Also installing a new version of Paralles Desktop will not affect your Virtual Machine and you can continue using the same VM after installing PD 9
